WHO IS DAVID SCHLOTTERBACK?

Hello! I’m David Schlotterback, a learning experience designer who blends a multidisciplinary creative background with instructional design expertise to craft impactful, engaging eLearning experiences. I combine a strong foundation in graphic design, multimedia, web development, and animation with research-based learning theories and modern authoring tools to create training that is meaningful, accessible, and results-driven.

I hold a Master of Science in Instructional Design & Technology (2025) and a Bachelor of Science in Education with dual majors in Art and History Education (1999), both from Emporia State University. My career spans classroom teaching, educational media production, and the development of statewide instructional resources, giving me a holistic understanding of how people learn and how organizations build capacity.

I’ve also partnered with the Nebraska Department of Education on several eLearning initiatives over multiple years, including designing an asynchronous training course for educators of SLIFE students—an experience that strengthened my ability to create content that is both pedagogically sound and highly engaging.

My approach is human-centered and grounded in empathy. I believe the best learning solutions start with understanding the real challenges learners face and designing experiences that meet them where they are.
